  MINNESOTA BOUND

  BRUCE AND ROBIN DeWITT,

       CLEARWATER, MINNESOTA

30 yearling and two year old ewes from the heart of our North Country flock. We needed to scale down, and were happy to have the chance to put a foundation group like this together.

INCLUDED AS A BONUS -  HIGHLAND KING
A WELL TRAVELLED OLDER  RAM PICTURED IN HIS YOUNGER DAYS

                       HIGHLAND KING
     Born 2010
Sired by "Hammer" out of the same dam as the $2000 High Road 0085

We sold him as a lamb in 2010 to West Virginia. After two seasons, we  bought him back, and resold him to Tennessee, thanks to Kim Caulfield who arranged the deal. That owner later sold him to Alabama. The lady in Alabama located us and suggested we should have him back to use on North Country ewes rather than on her hair sheep. I would gladly take him back, I told her if I can figure out a way without someone making such a trip. I was talking to Jonathan, our hauling buddy about the Minnesota run, and as an afterthought asked him if he ever got to Alabama.
"I'll be there next week", came the word.
I called the lady who owned the ram to tell her I had a ride lined up. She was not at home, and I realized I had forgotten that she had told me was going to China for a month. I emailed her in hopes she would get the message.
She emailed right back to say that she was indeed in China, but had sent word home to get the ram ready.

Likely the first and last time I will have to contact China on a sheep deal.
