We sold him as a lamb to Dee Samson in Oregon 2014.. He was our first son of "TANK". Dee kept many of his daughters, then called me to see if I might be interested in getting him back since she thought he still had work to do. We had lost "TANK" after only one lamb crop so we brought the ram home in 2019. Longtime ram buyer John Stroud in nearby WV used the ram two seasons. We had sold John's daughter Annie a few NCC ewes to start her flock. 414 bred our ewes in 2022, his last rodeo, as old age had finally caught up with him at 9 years old.
(PICTURED WHEN HE CAME HOME IN 2019)
FOR THE RECORD
DEE SAMSON SOLD A RAM AT THE NCC NATIONAL SALE IN 2023 FOR A NEW BREED RECORD, $3000. THAT RAM WAS OUT OF A 414 DAUGHTER.
ALSO, 414 WAS A GRANDSON OF THE LAST BREED RECORD HOLDER, OUR $2000 HIGH ROAD 0085 FROM 2012
I thought it in order to look over the dams of the sale rams. Uniformity and volume on display.
Most of our ewes are Highland Trooper daughters. We feel they are what a real North Country should look like. Mass, depth of body, bone, femininity and breed type.
